I had just been telling Natalie about this awesome blush compact from Clinique and we decided to visit the only Clinique in London.
This bright eyed girl with amazing and unique facial features quickly approached us to help my friend out in her decisions. I was struck by her personality and poise that seem to show through as she explained all the color choices. I found myself staring for a long time, like she was putting on a performance and I had the front row ticket to this great theatrical.
I think at one point she saw me staring and I quickly followed up with, "Im a photographer and would you ever be interested in a photoshoot?" (always a quick save when you are bluntly staring at people)?.
Ali- told me she would love to and that she was in the theater as an actress and needed some headshots. That trip we couldn't ever get our times figured out but this trip I was going to make it happen.
When Ali arrived for the shoot she was nothing but ecstatic and her enthusiasm was infectious! I grabbed my camera, gave her my coat and said lets just walk in the woods.
She gave me more than just a walk- I got action, emotion, poise and character. My creativity soared as I went on a search to find any light condition and angle in those woods to capture her in.
At the end of the day I walked away with an amazing experience and now a great friend.
